About Us

The idea of connecting all Chinese alumni of the University of Manitoba in Vancouver was conceived in 1985 with the establishment of the University of Manitoba Chinese Alumni Association which was not incorporated under the Societies Act.

The co-founders in 1986 were Bernard Lee, Tony Lau and Vincent Li who co-organized the first dinner meeting of all interested Chinese alumni in Vancouver.   They also paid for advertisements to invite all Chinese alumni to the first meeting.

We connect all the University of Manitoba alumni of Chinese ancestry in Canada and we support registered Canadian charities including the University of Manitoba.  We are currently registered in compliance with BC Societies Act.
